 1- What do I do to access my class?

You must install (download) the Teams application on your device

 2- Where do I find the Teams app?

- It is preferable to use the application, but you can use the web version from any device, where you can use your available web browser (such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or any other browser) and then enter the website https://teams.microsoft.com.

  - If you use any type of computer, you can find the program by going to the website https://teams.microsoft.com/download and then clicking on the "Download to Desktop" or download for Desktop button.

- If you are using any Apple device with iOS, you will find the application in the Apple Store .

- If you are using any Huawei device, you will find the application in the App Gallery. 

- If you are using any other Android device, you will find the app in the Play Store.

 

 3-Is there any money to be paid to get the TIMES app

The application or program is completely free for all types of devices and you can use it without paying any money, you only have to log in using the e-mail of the University of Muta

                                                                                                                                                             

 4- The TMS app is not working, what should I do

If you are using a computer of any kind, be sure to upgrade the operating system to Windows 10, as the application does not work at all or with many problems on other operating systems

 If you are using the Windows 10 operating system or any cellular device or tablet of any kind, there is nothing that prevents the application from working, try removing the application and reinstalling it again or use another device with consulting a specialist about why your device refuses to run the application.

 

 5- I get an error message when I launch the TIMES application and before entering the email, what should I do?

 If you are using a computer of any kind, be sure to upgrade the operating system to Windows 10, as the application does not work at all or with many problems on other operating systems.

If you are using the Windows 10 operating system or any cellular device or tablet of any kind, there is nothing that prevents the application from working, try removing the application and reinstalling it again or use another device with consulting a specialist about why your device refuses to run the application.

 

 

 

 

 6. The application works TIMES, but I do not know what to do after that?

- You must log in to the application using the email of Mu'tah University and the password for this email, taking into account the following

   -The e-mail must be typed correctly, without any space or space between characters

     -The email is written from left to right, starting with the university number, followed by the @ symbol, followed by the university email address, as shown in the following example: 120203905299 @ mutah.edu.jo

-Be sure to type the letters properly, with uppercase and lowercase letters in mind.

-You should think about converting the language to English before you start typing the password.

                                                   -You must type the password and not through the copy and paste feature.

 

7- I am a new student, how can I get his email and password?

- The student's e-mail is automatically generated by the Computer Center, but this process does not take place immediately after admission. It may be delayed for a day or two, and you can make sure that an e-mail has been created for you by entering the e-services system and from there to the “My Information” page where it appears The e-mail and password fields, if your e-mail and password are written, this means that your e-mail account has been created, but if the fields are empty, this means that you have to wait a day or two at most.


8-I am a new student. I have waited for more than two days after completing the admission procedures, and an email account has not been created for me yet, what should I do? 

You must communicate with the concerned persons at the computer center through the available communication channels to ascertain the reason for the delay.

 

9-After running the TMS application, I am writing an email, but the program is asking for a code, how do I get it?

 -The application asks for a pass code only in the event that you have typed the e-mail incorrectly, please check your writing of the e-mail and correct it, noting that the copy-and-paste process of the e-mail may lead to an increase in a space or symbol at the beginning or end of the text.

 -If you are using any Apple device with iOS system, you may see a message asking to set up the pass code for the application; in this case you must follow the following:

 To change the pass code or pass code settings on iPhone X and later, or iPad with Face ID, go to Settings> Face ID & Pass code. On older iPhone models, go to "Settings"> "Touch ID & Pass code". On devices without Touch ID, go to Settings> Pass code

-You will see several settings and options, including

Change Pass code: Enter a new six-digit code. Or press "Pass code Options" to switch to a four-digit code, a custom numeric code, or a custom letter and numbers code.

-Require pass code: After locking the screen, by default this setting prompts you to enter your pass code to unlock. If you don't want an immediate pass code requirement, you can change this setting. (For security reasons, you won't be able to change the instant pass code requirement when using Touch ID or Apple Play..)

-Allow Access When Locked: You can use this option to access some features when the device is locked, including Today View, Notification Center, Siri, Message Reply, Control Center, Wallet, and USB accessories.

 

 

10-I forgot my email password, what should I do?

Through the internet browser, open the university's website (www.mutah.edu.jo), then go to the student portal, and from there, click on the link to retrieve the password for the e-mail, after that use your university number and password for electronic services and register to log in, then press the button "Recover" to show you the new password.

 

11-Is there a problem giving my password to another person?

-We caution against revealing your password or giving it to anyone

Your account and password is your personal responsibility completely and giving it to anyone is an official permission for him to do anything on your behalf and knowing it by anyone else with your business or without your knowledge does not exempt you from taking responsibility.

-Your password entitles those who know it to do anything on your behalf and therefore you bear full responsibility for what may happen through an e-mail, whether it is sending an electronic message, files, or other things through e-mail, a program or application or any of Microsoft's software.

 

 12- After entering the email and password in the TMS app, the message "You do not have permission" appears, what should I do?

Try to log in to the email first, using the link (outlook.office.com).

If you are successful in logging in, you must communicate with the concerned persons at the computer center through the available communication channels and inform them of this in order to address the problem you have.

In the event that you are unable to access the e-mail, make sure that you type the e-mail and password correctly.

 

 

13- I can access Teams application, but I cannot find a team or more for the materials that I have registered what should I do?

The only person authorized to add you to the subject or team is the subject teacher only.

 

 

14- Some teachers send a link or code to join the team

Contact the subject teacher or one of your colleagues registered in the same subject to solve this problem.

The computer center will not add you to the team under the pretext that there is a technical defect that prevents the teacher from adding you, in this case the subject teacher must communicate with the computer center and not the student.

 

15-Is there anyone who can add me to the subject team other than the subject teacher

One of your colleagues registered in the same subject can send the team link to you, and after opening the link, a request will be sent in your name to the subject teacher to allow you to join the team. The only person authorized to add you to the subject or team is the subject teacher only.

The computer center will not add you to the team under the pretext that there is a technical defect that prevents the teacher from adding you, in this case the subject teacher must communicate with the computer center and not the student.

You can check with your classmates registered in the same subject whether the subject teacher has sent them a code to join the team.

 

16-The subject teacher sent me a code to join the team, what should I do?

After entering the TIMES application, click on the Join a Team button, you will find the option to join a team using the code, enter the code sent by the subject teacher, then click the Join button.

 

17-The subject teacher sent me a link to join the team, what should I do

 Click on the link or open it through a web browser and a request will be sent in your name to the subject teacher to allow you to join the team.

 

18-The TMS app was working fine, but it started showing an error message, what I should do

 This is due to an emergency malfunction either on the application itself on your device or on the operating system on your device.

 -You can try removing the application and reinstalling it, which may solve the problem

 -You can use another device and consult a specialist about the cause of the error that began to appear in the first device.

 

 19-Where can I find the recorded lectures on the Thames application

The recorded lectures appear as a post on the posts page (within the chat)

If you do not find it, check with the subject teacher whether he recorded the lecture and published it to the students.

 

20-Why can't I watch the recorded lectures in the TIMES app

  If you are using a computer of any kind, a download link will appear for the recorded lecture, after clicking on the download link, it will take some time to download the video depending on the file size and length of the recorded lecture and the file will appear in the Downloads folder. If you use any cellular device or tablet, you must install the "Microsoft Stream" application using the same steps that you installed the TMS application in.

 

 21-Why can't I open a file that the subject teacher shared to students through the TIMES app?

 There is no reason why iTunes should not open a file that was shared with you

If this problem is repeated in more than one file and more than one material, you should consult a specialist to address the problem with your device.

If the problem is limited to one file only, or a group of files defined in only one article; you should check with the subject teacher to ensure that you are granted permission to access and use the file.
