1.      How do I Access my lectures?

·         Download the Microsoft Teams Application to your personal Device.2.      How to find Microsoft Teams?

·         It is better to use the app but you can use it on the web and from any device, and any browser (such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc..) and then enter the website https://teams.microsoft.com

·         If you are using any type of computer, you can find it by going to the website https://teams.microsoft.com/download and then clicking on the "Download for Desktop" button.

·          If you are using an iOS device, you will find the application in the Apple Store.

·         If you are using any Huawei device, you will find the application in the App Gallery.

·         If you are using any other Android device, you can find the app in the Play Store.

 3.      Do you have to pay to get Microsoft teams?

·         Microsoft Teams is available for free and for all devices, you only have to sign in using your student E-mail account.

4.      What to do if Microsoft Teams app is not working?

·         If you are using a computer, make sure you upgrade the operating system to windows 10, As the application does not work at all or works with many problems on other operating systems.

·         If you are using windows 10 operating system, or a smartphone or a tablet and the app still does not work uninstall and re-install the app or use another device and consult an expert to figure out why the Microsoft teams does not run on the device.

5.      I receive an error message whenever I open Microsoft Teams app and before signing in.What should I do?

·         If you are using a computer, make sure you upgrade the operating system to windows 10, As the application does not work at all or works with many problems on other operating systems.

·         If you are using windows 10 operating system, or a smartphone or a tablet and the app still does not work, uninstall and re-install the app or use another device and consult an expert to figure out why the Microsoft teams does not run on the device.

6.      Microsoft Teams app is working but I don’t know what do next?

·         You have to sign in using Mutah university student E-mail and the password for this E-mail,Taking into account the following:

A.      The E-mail address must be typed correctly without any space between letters.

B.      The E-mail address must be written from left to right starting with the university number, followed by the @ symbol, followed by the university e-mail address as follows: 120203905299@mutah.edu.jo

C.      Make sure that the letters are written correctly and pay attention to uppercase and lowercase letters.

D.     Make sure to change the keyboard language to English before writing your password.

E.      The password must be written and not through the copy and paste feature.

 

7.      I am a new student; how do I get an E-mail address and a password?

·         The student e-mail is created automatically by the computer center, but this process does not take place immediately after acceptance, as it may be delayed for a day or two. You can make sure that an e-mail has been created for you by visiting the E-services system and then by clicking on (my information) where the e-mail and password fields appear. If your e-mail and password are written, this means that your e-mail account has been created. If the fields are empty, this means that you have to wait a day or two at most. 

8.      I am a new student, I waited for more than two days after completing the admission prosses and my E-mail account has not been created yet.  what should I do?

·         You’ll have to contact the concerned persons in the computer center through the available communication channels to find out the reasons for the delay.

9.      When I open Microsoft Teams app and type the E-mail, the app asks for the passcode. How do I get it?

·         The app only asks for a passcode if the E-mail was written incorrectly, make sure to review and correct the E-mail, noting that the copying and pasting the E-mail may lead to adding a space or symbol at the beginning or end of the text.

·         If you are using any Apple device with iOS, you may get a message asking to set up a passcode for the app. In this case, you should do the following:

1.      To change the passcode, or passcode setting on I phone x or any later versions, or I pad devices that have the face ID feature. open Settings and tap Face ID & Passcode. If you have an older version of iPhone, tap touch ID & Passcode. On devices that do not have the Touch ID feature open Setting and tap Passcode.

2.      Many settings and options will appear, including:

·         Change Passcode: Enter a new six-digit passcode. Or tap Passcode Options to switch to a four-digit numeric code, a custom numeric code, or a custom alphanumeric code.

·         Require Passcode: As soon as you lock your screen, the default for this setting will ask you to enter your passcode to unlock. If you don't want an immediate passcode requirement, change this setting. (For your own security, if you use Touch ID or Apple Pay, you can't change the immediate passcode requirement).

·         Allow Access When Locked: Use this option to allow access to some features when your device is locked, including Today View, Notification Center, Control Center on iPhone and iPod touch or iPad, Siri, Reply with Message, Home Control, Wallet, Return Missed Calls, and USB accessories.

10.  What to do if you forgot your E-mail password?

·         Open the browser and head over to the university website www.mutah.edu.jo, and then click on Students (students services), then click on recover the E-mail password link then use your student number and enter the password for the e-services and registration to enter. Then click on (recover) to get the new password.

11.  Is it safe to share my password with someone else?

·         You should never give your password to anyone no matter who they are.

·         Your account and password are entirely your personal responsibility and lending it to anyone is an official authorization to do anything on your behalf and providing it to anyone else with or without your knowledge does not absolve you from taking responsibility.

·         Your password authorizes those who know it to do anything on your behalfand therefore, you will bear all responsibility for what may happen through your e-mail, whether it is sending an e-mail, files, or other via e-mail or through the Microsoft Teams application or any of the Microsoft software.

12.  After entering the E-mail and password on my Microsoft Teams I received the message (you are not authorized), what should I do?

·         Try logging into your E-mail first through the following link: https://outlook.office.com/

If you can access your E-mail successfully, you must communicate with the concerned persons in the computer center through the available communication channels and inform them of this to address your problem.

·         In the event that you are unable to access the e-mail, make sure that you write the e-mail and password correctly.

13.  I can log into Microsoft Teams app but I can’t find the teams of the courses that I have registered. What should I do?

·         The only person authorized to add you to the course or team is the lecturer.

·         Some instructors send a team link or a code to join the team.

·         Contact your instructor or one of your colleagues who is registered in the course to solve the problem.

·         The computer center will not add you to the team under the pretext that there is a technical defect that prevents the teacher from adding you, in this case, the lecturer must communicate with the computer center and not the student.

14.  Is there anyone who can add me to the subject team other than thelecturer?

·         One of your colleagues is registered in the same course can send you the team link, and after opening the link, a request in your name will be sent to the lecturer to allow you to join the team.

·         The only person authorized to add you to the course or team is the lecturer.

·         The computer center will not add you to the team under the pretext that there is a technical defect that prevents the teacher from adding you, in this case, the lecturer must communicate with the computer center and not the student.

·         -You can check with your classmates that are registered in the same course, whether the lecturer has sent them a code to join the team or not.

15.  The lecturer sent me a code to join the team. What should I do?

·         After opening the app click on Join a team and you will find the option (Join a team with a code), paste the code and then select Join.

 

16.  The lecturer sent me a link to join the team. What should I do?

·         Click on the link or open it through a web browser and a request will be sent in your name to the lecturer to allow you to join the team.

17.  Microsoft Teams app was working fine, but it started sending an error message, what should I do?

·         This is the result of a glitch in the application itself on your device or in the operating system on your device.

·         You can try uninstalling and re-installing the app and that might solve the problem.

·         You can use another device and consult an expert to figure the reason of the error message that you are getting on the first device.

18.  Where can I find the recorded meetings on Microsoft Teams app?

·         Recorded lectures appear in the form of a post on the home page (within the chat).

·         If you can’t find it ask the lecturer if he recorded and posted the lecture and published it to the students.

19.  Why can't I view the recorded lectures on Microsoft Teams app?

·         If you are using a computer of any kind, a link to download the recorded lecture will appear. After clicking on link, the video will take some time to download depending on the file size and the length of the recorded lecture, and the file will appear in the (Downloads) folder.

·         If you are using any mobile or tablet device, you have to install the Microsoft Stream application using the same steps that you used to install Microsoft Teams application.

20.  Why can't I open a file that the lecturer shared to students through Microsoft Teams app?

·         There is no reason that preventsMicrosoft Teams app cannot from opening a file that has been shared with you.

·          If this problem happens in more than one file and more than one course, you should consult a specialized technician to address the problem in your device.

·          If the problem is in one file or a group of specific files in one course only; You should check with your lecturer to make sure that you have permission to access and use the file.
