eighty one] that a royal decree accorded the approval of a law stipulating that
Mutah University be established as a national institution for both military and
non-military higher education at Mutah in the Al-Karak Governorate. This
approval came as an incarnation of the will of the Late King Hussein Bin Talal,
[May Allah Bless His Soul], to erect an excellent academic institution in the

we can read from the portfolio of patriotism this highly moving excerpt from
the address made by the Late King on that particular day:

As
for the executive level of leadership, several respectful men of science and
thought have taken office as presidents of the university. Deep gratitude is duly
extended to these intellectual Jordanians and to their invaluable endeavor.

thousand students besides hundreds of military cadets and officers in the
military campus. The number of alumni is well over forty thousand.
