Department of Finance & Banking

The department was established in September 1999 under the supervision of Economic Department calling at that time The Department of Economics and Finance and Banking .

The Purpose of the department is to enrich students with update knowledge related to the finance and banking field for being fully qualified to start working for the financial institution on both; nationally and internationally .

In the beginning of the academic year 2004/2005 the department name has been changed to `Finance Economics and Finance and Banking Department . By the end of the academic year 2004/2005 the department separated into two department , namely ; The Department of Finance Economics and the Department of Finance and Banking according to the approval of the Higher Ministry of Education Council No. 776 in 26/8/2004, approved by the university presidency starting from 1/9/2005 .

The Department offered courses for Finance and Banking students in the bachelor degree .In addition, The department serves the educational needs of the Faculty of Business Administration as well as other Faculties in the university by teaching various Finance and Banking Courses for their students. Furthermore the department serves the community through offering professional training programs to Bankers and other practitioners.
