English Language and Literature

Competence in English has become increasingly necessary for professions throughout the world. English language is a thriving subject at Mu'tah University. The Department of English provides an opportunity to extend subject knowledge and language ability for its students. The Department also aims at enhancing the linguistic ability of Mu'tah University students in English language by providing service courses as part of the University requirements to all students. With English firmly established as the international language for trade, commerce, and travel, graduates have a worldwide market for their skills.
The research interests of the academic staff members in the Department are wide-ranging and encompass a variety of subjects.
