The Department was established in 1997 and the first class of students was accepted in the academic year 1996/1997. The Department has six Ph.D. faculty members, one teaching assistant and three laboratory instructors. The department uses four teaching laboratory and utilizes the faculty of Agriculture Research Station for teaching and research purposes. The department is in the process of expanding in all aspects, including recruiting new faculty members.

 

Vision:

Qualifying graduate (agricultural engineer) who is able to retain the basic sciences and technology in the contemporary field of specialization according to the recognized international standards, qualified to meet the requirements of sustainable development and the preservation of the environment and able to conduct an scientific and applied research contribute significantly to scientific knowledge and solve the problems of society. Continued development of educational programs and research to prepare the graduate as a competitor at the local and international levels.

 

Mission:

Qualifying graduate who is able to create and manage farms of animal production depending on the modern scientific bases to increase production and to solve problems, preparing graduates with an outstanding level and who are capable of competing in local and regional market, and providing experience and technical advice to the local community in order to raise animal production and improve its quality and quantity.

 

Objectives:

1- Continued development of educational programs to achieve the best performance of scientific and researching higher-level graduates. 

2- Continued development of research to serve community and environment.
